Like 12 gauge or larger. If you are looking for a simple attachment so that you can hook up an ipod of other auxillary inputs, get this.The only con, as others have mentioned is that its awkwardly oriented. The plastic molding of the peice that connects to the radio pertrudes up and the cord is pretty think. This makes the install quite interesting. I installed it myself but if you have no installation expereince, seek the help of a pro.I would recommend this to anyone with that crazy kenwood radio that i bought.
Lets not make a big deal about this, the adapter works like it's supposed to.
This adapter worked great on our Kenwood radio in our boat. iPod and Inno hook up and sound great.
